Source: Indianapolis News Mon 21 April 1941 p 4

Stanley Minnick, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Estil Minnick, Bainbridge was killed in the rain early Sunday when he applied brakes quickly to avoid a collision with a slow-moving car ahead of him at the intersection of roads 43 and 36 near Greencastle. Minnick’s car “jack-knifed” and smashed against highway guard posts, demolishing the vehicle. Two passengers were unhurt. The young man was employed by Compton & Wysong, Indianapolis live stock commission firm, but lived at Bainbridge. He was graduated from Bainbridge HS in 1938 and had been working in Indianapolis since. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Bainbridge. – kbz
